The BOURNEMOUTH POOLE & DORSET EAST SECONDARY SCITT is a consortium of local secondary schools working in close partnership with Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset Local Authorities.

It has been accredited by the TDA (Training and Development Agency for Schools) to deliver a full-time one-year course running from September to July. Successful completion of this course brings with it the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Post-Graduate or Professional Certificate in Education (PGCE) validated by the University of Bath.

A distinctive feature of the BP&DE SCITT course is the focus on carefully staged and appropriately supervised practical classroom experience within two secondary schools, which is further supported by academic and professional study via central training at the Bournemouth Learning Centre.
